The Interpretation Center Planet Sarajevo, located at 56 Maršala Tita Street, is finally open to the public. Planet Sarajevo is a time capsule that preserves the spirit of Sarajevo from 1945 to 1991.
The director of the project, Interpretation Center Planet Sarajevo, Zlatko Berbić, said that this center is also a response to the challenges of a new era and a new audience growing up with mobile phones. ‘Young people today want to be participants; they want their own experiences. The entire Planet Sarajevo was designed to be universally different, contemporary—to be a planet.
So, it’s not a planet as in something small; Planet Sarajevo tells Sarajevo’s story in a universal, global, and contemporary way. When you enter, you see forty-something screens and you can choose the content yourself,’ said Berbić.
‘Planet Sarajevo represents the city’s golden age, which we are all extremely proud of and want to share with the world. I invite all my fellow citizens to visit the newly opened museum and to be good hosts to all our guests,’ said the mayor at the opening. The exhibition can be visited every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Planet Sarajevo project was realized with the support of BH Telecom, Sarajevska Pivara, NLB Bank, and Kommerling, under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the City of Sarajevo.
