Planet Sarajevo Turns One with Music, Art and Culture in the Heart of Sarajevo
One year after opening its doors, Planet Sarajevo celebrated its first birthday by bringing the museum experience into the streets of Sarajevo. On 13 August 2026, Planet Sarajevo LIVE transformed the passage in front of the museum and Kamerni Theatre, in the heart of Sarajevo, into an open cultural space. Together with Pop Rock School Sarajevo, musicians of different generations came together for a live jam session, celebrating the city’s legendary music scene and its continuing creative energy.
The event marked more than the first anniversary of Planet Sarajevo. It also launched a new chapter for the museum, with a series of artistic interventions that will bring music, dance, literature, poetry and visual art into Sarajevo’s public spaces.
Since opening in August 2025, Planet Sarajevo has offered visitors a different way to experience Sarajevo’s history and culture. Through immersive storytelling, interactive exhibits, rare archives, VR and multimedia, the museum explores the music, film, Olympic history, architecture, sport, innovation and people that shaped the city.
