There is no fixed tour duration at Planet Sarajevo—and that’s by design. Most visitors spend between 60 and 90 minutes exploring the museum, while many choose to stay much longer. Unlike a traditional museum with a prescribed route, Planet Sarajevo invites you to discover the exhibition at your own pace.
As a museum of stories rather than simply a museum of objects, every visitor’s journey is different. Some spend more time exploring Sarajevo’s music and film, others are drawn to its architecture, Olympic legacy or the personal stories that shaped the city’s identity. There is no right or wrong way to experience the museum. Your daily ticket also gives you the freedom to leave and return later the same day. Take a break for lunch, enjoy a coffee in Sarajevo or continue exploring the city before coming back to discover more stories.
Our recommendation is simple: allow yourself at least 90 minutes, but don’t be surprised if you decide to stay longer. The more curious you are, the more Sarajevo has to reveal.
